Our Story
Like all great things, we started small. We took a few like-minds with a shared vision—and ran with it. Today, we’ve grown into something big.
Rare (Piper-Heidsieck)
The Rare 2002 vintage shows its golden colour with a well defined and shimmering effervescence. On the nose, exotic fruits like mango, nashi and ripe peaches and some nutty notes such as roasted nuts and almonds.
The palate is really generous and just perfectly balanced with a body who says "drop it like its hot". Peach, lime and exotic fruits such as pineapple and candied ginger will go on the first attack, then subtile honey, toast and white flover notes turn up. A wonderfull mid-long smokey finish.
The Rare 1979, a blast - I never had something extraordinary like this before. No doubt this is one of my top three champagnes so far. I had different coffee notes and these fresh roasted almonds just teasing you, then smooth chocolate and toffee aromas came through. On the palate, so rich, so complex and that smokey tabacco in your mouth, just divine. Caramel and cacao powder accentuated the creaminess of that wine. Light effervescence still present and a short but very pleasant finish that wants you go for more and more!
Rare 1988, same smokey and complex body as the 79 but a little less intense, still that creamy and smooth mouth feel, more on chocolate toffee, caramel and vanilla aromas. The bubbles bit bit more present, mixed with the well balanced acidity which gives you the feeling of an endless freshness of this wonderful champagne.
Le Secret Rare 1997, only in magnums and of course really rare. This vintage was a untipical one
